WELCOME BACK 2022/2023!
We are looking forward to having all our students back in the building starting on Thursday, September 1st. This includes all of our Kindergarten to Grade 8 students.
Our Kindergarten program is every morning, Monday through Friday. The Kindergarten day ends at 11:45.
Our pre-K program begins September 12th and runs every afternoon from Monday through Thursday. This program requires application. We also offer an afternoon Michif kindergarten class Monday through Friday, and a morning Michif pre-K class which runs Monday through Thursday.

To learn more about the Michif program and access an application form, click HERE. Please note that Michif students must already be registered in a regular Kindergarten or Pre-K program. The Pre-K Michif is only available for students aged 4.
Please note a change to our bell schedule for this coming year:
8:35-8:50 a.m. Morning Recess. Supervisors will be out on the playground at this time.
8:50 a.m. Bell Rings and classes begin
10:15-10:30 Recess
11:45 - 12:30 Lunch
12:30 - 12:45 Recess: students who go home for lunch should not return until this time
2:15-2:30 Afternoon Recess
3:40 Classes End/Dismissal
We ask that as much as possible, families refrain from picking students up early as it creates disruption to learning times. If you are planning to pick a student up early, you must contact the office directly.
FIRST DAY
Many of our staff members will be out on the playground starting at 8:35 to greet students. At 8:50, when the bell rings, all of our students will gather by the new play structure and be organized into classroom groups at this time. Staff will show students what door they will use to come in and out of the building. Mr. Josephson, our new principal, will provide a brief welcome and greeting and be available to meet parents and guardians.
WELCOME BACK BBQ, OPEN HOUSE, AND SCHOOL COMMUNITY COUNCIL (SCC) MEETING
Wednesday, September 14th is the date of our Welcome Back BBQ, Open House, and SCC Meeting.
5:30 – 6:00 Families are welcome to tour the school and see their child(ren)’s classroom.
6:00 – 7:00 FREE BBQ outside near our new playground
7:00 Parents/Guardians are welcome to come to the gym for our first SCC meeting of the year. This is an opportunity to find out what the SCC is all about, and to get a better understanding of how the school is run.
